Performance Conversations & Task Assignments Workshop

Intermediate Level Workshop

Assigning a task is a subtle and complex process, rarely done adequately as both parties are eager to escape the necessary responsibility.  As a result accountability is lost.

Prerequisite:  New Approaches to Work Relationships

Pre-work:

Bring four examples of your unsuccessful task assignments and four examples of your unsuccessful performance conversations.

Duration:

Four consecutive days [ sometimes offered as two sessions of two days each]

Who should attend:

  1. Persons skilled in Person Centered Approach [PCA]

  2. Executives, Directors, Managers and Supervisors

Course Content:    Applies PCA Skills to the processes of task assignments and performance conversations.

Course Objective:  By the end of the course, participants will be able to assign tasks which will preserve accountability and conduct  performance conversations in which both parties will be satisfied and eager for another.

Methodology:

Participants will use their pre-work and learn the application of PCA skills to those situations.  Lecturettes, consultations, and role plays will be used.  If a student prefers, another satisfactory method will be used.
